A MAN has today appeared in court charged with the murder of an 11-year-old boy who was found injured near a country park. Emergency crews rushed to Heanor, Notts, on June 18 where they found the stricken teen. Sadly he couldn't be saved and was declared dead later that day. Michael Harrison, 41, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court today. He is charged with murder and engaging in coercive and controlling behaviour. Harrison spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth during a short hearing.
