Boris Johnson is desperate to avoid a by-election in Chris Pincher's Tamworth constituency. But Labour, not surprisingly, would dearly love one. After last week's double defeat in the Wakefield and Tiverton and Honiton by-elections, the Tory high command has got the jitters about anti-Conservative tactical voting.
