I can barely catch my breath. The manager chuckles. She steps out from behind the counter and props open a side door to help circulate the air. The cooks are making a fresh batch of salsa de aceite, or chile oil. Taqueria Los Grandes has been serving its popular combination plates, menudo and famous crispy tacos since the 1980s, so most people might be familiar with this place already. I don't know how to fall in love. My longest relationship was 13 months, and in all that time, we never said "I love you." I was comfortable and cared for him – my love language is gift-giving/acts of service – but he was just ... there. I have tried the dating apps, gone to the bars, joined recreation league sports, and yet I still feel like I'm missing something. I honestly do not know how people can fall in love with multiple people. Whenever I ask, they say love is something you just feel, but I'm worried that I will never have that feeling. I have everything I could want: a great job, an adorable beagle, friends, and a social life. But I have this nagging suspicion that the reason I can't find love is because I don't know how to fall in love. I've heard "you'll fall in love when you least expect it," "love will find you,” and all that. I'm tired. I'm 28 years old and ready. So how do I fall in love? – Loveless Have you read Mandy Len Catron's Modern Love … [Read more...] about I don’t know how to fall in love
Mitch Albom Detroit Free Press Published 12:00 AM EST Jan 20, 2019 This happens a lot. I’m visiting with someone, or having a meeting, and for some reason I need to make a call, and I reach in my pocket and take out my phone … And the person breaks out laughing. “No way,” they chortle. Or, “Oh, please.” This is because I use a flip phone. The same flip phone I have used for years. I cannot tell you when I first got it, that’s how far back it goes. It is small and black with some red trim on the front, and it says “Verizon” near the bottom, but I don’t know anything else about it. Not its model. Not its serial number. Not its memory or its gigabytes. I just know it rings and I answer it. Sue me. I don’t care about phones. To me, they are there for talking and for hanging up. I don’t need to carry the world in my pocket. I don’t need to post my life. I don’t need to play “Clash of … [Read more...] about Mitch Albom: I still use a flip phone. Here’s why.

Professor Jon Tonge said there is "no magic wand" to revive the UUP's electoral fortunes, but he believes it is too soon to write its political obituary. He predicted that May's council elections could offer Robin Swann's party the opportunity to make … [Read more...] about Majority of UUP members ‘loathe DUP and don’t want a merger’
